Gillian Field-Bierl, LCAT, ATR-BC

Gillian is a New York State licensed creative arts therapist (LCAT) and a nationally registered, board-certified art therapist (ATR-BC), offering individual and family therapy, as well as art therapy supervision.

Born and raised in Western New York, Gillian attended University at Buffalo for her undergraduate degree where she earned a bachelor of arts in psychology. She went on to earn her master’s degree in art therapy from Nazareth College of Rochester.

Gillian has been a mental health therapist in Buffalo, NY since 2013, working with diverse populations and age ranges including children, adolescents, and adults who present with a variety of concerns. She has led group therapy sessions which include art therapy and social skills groups, as well as a DBT skills group.

Trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Gillian regularly integrates these and other trauma informed techniques, along with attending regular trainings to expand and stay current with her skill set.
